Add Hetzner Credential

To allow Devopness to manage Hetzner Cloud resources on your behalf, an API token must be provided.

If you don't have access to a Hetzner account, you can create an account for free following the Hetzner Cloud Sign Up page.

  1. Log in to the Hetzner Cloud Console
  2. Access a Hetzner Cloud project or create a new one: Projects page

    If you don't have a project, click on New project.

    Enter a name for the project and click Add project.

    Once the project is created, select it from the list to continue.

    Note: It might take a few seconds for the new project to be visible in the project list. If it does not appear, reload the console page.

  3. In the left navigation panel, click Security
  4. At the top menu, select the API Tokens tab
  5. Click Generate API Token
  6. In the Generate API Token form:
    • Enter a description for the token (e.g., Devopness)
    • Set permissions as Read & Write
  7. Click Generate API Token
  8. Copy the API token shown
    • Important: The token will not be shown again, so make sure to save it securely
  9. To add the token to Devopness, follow the guide: Add a Credential
