The Role
Devopness is looking for a full-time (or part-time) Growth Product Manager to join our Product Team.
You will work closely with Engineering and Product Management in experimenting, discovering, and launching new product features that drive growth of activation, subscription and retention metrics.
Success in this role requires flexible thinking, a get-things-done attitude, and curiosity about developers, DevOps, SRE, platform engineering and the quickly evolving cloud infrastructure landscape.
Suitable position for a person who is user and data-focused, is constantly looking for opportunitties through user feedback and data insights, understand the role and importance of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, including A/B testing and experimentation, and has the desire to influence and make decisions in product design and growth strategies for the cloud infrastructure management market, with focus on DevOps, platform engineering, SRE and automation.
Responsibilities - You are expected to
- Own our product go to market strategy for customer onboarding and SaaS offerings
- Lead and improve a comprehensive strategy to drive activation, subscription and retention metrics
- Manage the product's user on-boarding workflow, defining improvements, reporting bugs and prioritizing technical debts that should not be ignored
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product design, product management, and company leaders to implement product enhancements that drive growth
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that our onboarding, subscription & retention strategies are always cutting-edge.
- Keep Devopness user base and tech community well informed about Devopness news
- Manage the brand presence in every channel where the communitty that form our target audience is active
- Analyze data to identify opportunities in the customer journey to optimize signup and SaaS onboarding experiences
- Whenever possible, use qualitative and quantitative data to inform your decision making process
- When not available, build a hypothesis to guide the projects
- Give and receive actionable feedback during product growth presentations, and strive to improve the team's metrics and data-driven assets quality
- Encourage design reviews, regular product audits, and user research
- Interact with and influence other teams for changes that can increase productivity and user satisfaction in all components of the platform, including customer facing applications, API, backend, database and overall product features
Qualifications - You have
- At least 2 years of experience as product led growth leader, product manager, product owner, or similar activities
- Significant experience working with product designers, engineers, and product managers to build new features
- Significant experience working with marketing teams to help keep alignment and bring product-led marketing campaigns to life
- Strong understanding of SaaS freemium, free trials and subscription conversions
- Excellent storytelling and product demo skills, with proven ability to motivate and influence a variety of audience types
- Significant experience with using both qualitative user research and analytical quantitative data to identify areas of opportunity to impact growth metrics.
- Experience with SaaS metrics, defining goals and monitoring results
- Experience with analytics tools, such as: Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Tag Managers
- Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools, such as: Looker, PowerBI, Tableau
- Experience in designing and owning SaaS product marketing campaings through digital channels
- Bonus: Experience working in the developer tools market segment: Cloud infrastructure, CI/CD or DevOps related products
- Experience designing and running A/B experimentation to optimize sign up activation, subscription & retention metrics
- Shipped at least one web/SaaS product initiative in your career and understand what it takes to build user-centric product led growth
- Thrive in a fast-paced product-led technology company, communicates well both synchronously and asynchronously, and has experience working on a distributed team
- An eye for design and experience with Figma or similar tools (Balsamiq, Photoshop, Sketch, etc)
- Enough understanding of HTTP protocol, able to send requests to REST APIs, so you can contribute to an API-First platform
- Good knowledge of version control software, such as: git, BitBucket, GitHub, GitLab, so you're able to contribute to documentation and collaborate in pull requests reviews
- Ability to adopt a human-centered approach to marketing and growth initiatives, asking the right questions before assuming solutions or success
- A hands-on mindset and also a clear understanding that building growth initiatives goes beyond paid media and sales pitch
- Appreciate a design-first approach to product development and growth initiatives, planning the objectives of each project before starting its execution, and you can break complex problems into smaller parts, aligning delivery expectations
- Nice to have previous experience optimizing SaaS pricing and packages
