Invite Team Member

Invite one person to a team, or create a public link to share with a group.

Goal

Add one person through a private invite, or generate a public link for a wider audience.

Who should use this

• Team admins adding new collaborators
• Owners managing team setup

You need

• Team admin access in the target organization
• Permission to send team invitations

Steps

1. Open the organization that owns the team
2. Open Teams and select the target team
3. Open Invitations
4. Choose one path:
   • Private invite: enter one email address
   • Public invite: open the public invite flow
5. For private: enter the person's email address
6. For public: generate the invitation link and copy it
7. Confirm to create the invitation

Expected result

• A new private invite or public link is created
• The recipient can accept and join the team

Security note

Use private invites by default. Use a public link only when you want to add many people from a known group at once.

Common issues

• Invite is rejected: confirm the email is valid for private invitations
• Public link is missing or expired: generate a new link and share it again
• Invite is blocked: verify sender permissions for team invitations
